For those of you who are already about to through Windows Vista in the trash, you will be pleased to learn that the final test version of Microsoft’s Windows 7 is now available for you to try out. Windows users have heard a number of rumors that they could see the full release version of the new Windows 7 operating system by the fall.
Boston Herald tells us that this free version is available from www.microsoft.com. Just remember that this test version will stop working on working June 1, 2010. That is more than enough time to get used to the new OS.

As Microsoft prepare to release their Windows Mobile 6.5 OS update, they are also putting the final touches on the Windows Marketplace App store which should release at the same time as the 6.5 update.
As reported from Intomobile, Microsoft hope that their Marketplace will be a direct competitor to Apple’s App store. We reckon it will be sometime before Microsoft manage to achieve the same levels of success as Apple.

Who would have thought all those years ago that Windows XP would have ever been as popular as it is now, not only have Microsoft offered extended support for the OS, we have now learned that the operating system will still be available on netbooks even when Windows 7 is released.
If you are an OEM and are using Windows XP on a netbook, then you will have the ability to install Windows XP of one year, once Windows 7 has been released to the consumer. This is what Mike Nash, corporate vice president of the Windows product management group at Microsoft told PC World.
