Atlus Announced Three JRPG Titles For Nintendo 3DS to USA This Fall


Atlus USA just announced three new games coming to the console in the North America in late 2017/early 2018 – Etrian Odyssey 5: Beyond the Myth, Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux.

Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth is the next installment in the Etrian Odyssey series.

Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth (世界樹の迷宮V 長き神話の果て? Sekaiju no Meikyū V: Nagaki Shinwa no Hate, “Labyrinth of the World Tree V: The End of the Long Myth”) is a dungeon crawler role-playing video game developed and published by Atlus for the Nintendo 3DS. The game was released in Japan on August 4, 2016.

Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology, expanded 3DS port of the original game 2011 DS release Radiant Historia.

Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology (ラジアントヒストリア パーフェクトクロノロジー) is an upcoming Nintendo 3DS port of the original game with additional content and features such as voice acting, new visuals and music, and a new sub-plot called the Sub-History involving a new party member named Nemesia.

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux, an expanded port of the DS title.

The game is the fourth entry in the Shin Megami Tensei series, which forms the core of the Megami Tensei franchise. The story follows a special task force sent by the United Nations to investigate the Schwarzwelt, a spatial distortion that appears in Antarctica and threatens to engulf the world. Players take control of an unnamed protagonist, navigating the environments of the Schwarzwelt in first-person. Combat involves the player and recruited demons fighting against various enemies, with the protagonist having the option of talking with and recruiting enemies.

Etrian Odyssey V is releasing for 3DS this fall, while Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux are arriving in “early 2018.” Each title will retail for $39.00.
