Apple Released iOS 10.3.3 Update with Bug Fixes and Security Improvement for Wi-Fi

Apple has released iOS 10.3.3 as free over-the-air update available to all users with compatible iOS device including iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. According to release note, iOS 10.3.3 update focuses on bug fixes, security enhancements and other minor improvements for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The download size of iOS 10.3.3 update roughly 80 -1 00MB, vary based on the device and carrier.

iOS 10.3.3 update is available for the following iOS devices:

  • iPhone 5 and later
  • iPad 4th generation and later
  • iPad mini 2 and later
  • iPod touch 6th generation and later.

Significant security patch included in iOS 10.3.3 is fixed the major vulnerability (CVE-2017-9417) that would have allowed attackers to execute code on device’s Broadcom BCM4354, 4358 and 4359 Wi-Fi chip, which could let them seize control of the device. CVE-2017-9417 was first publicized in an Android security bulletin, previously addressed in iOS 10.3.1 as well.
